Heroes of the Storm Extends to Four Southeast Asian Countries

Detailed in a press release published on Tuesday, April 29, Blizzard Entertainment has partnered up with Asiasoft, an online videogame operator in Southeast Asia, to bring its MOBA Heroes of the Storm to Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Since October 2011, Asiasoft has exclusively distributed Blizzard’s titles in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, shipping titles such as Diablo III , StarCraft II and World of Warcraft . Back in December 2013, the partnership between Asiasoft and Blizzard expanded to include the Philippines.

“Heroes of the Storm will bring together many of the most popular heroes and villains from more than 20 years of Blizzard games, ” said Blizzard’s chief operating officer Paul Sams. ” Our focus on team combat and map-based objectives make the game accessible to new players, while offering depth for competitive gamers as well. We believe gamers in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines will love playing Heroes of the Storm .

On behalf of Asiasoft and its subsidiaries, we are honored to be Blizzard’s partner in bringing Heroes of the Storm to gamers in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines, ” added Pramoth Sudjitporn, Asiasoft’s CEO. ” We are working closely with Blizzard in preparation for the game’s launch and we look forward to providing Blizzard’s brand of online brawler to gamers in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines.

Heroes of the Storm entered its live Technical Alpha back in early March, which is currently only available to US-based players who are press, community members and friends and family of Blizzard Entertainment employees. Four new heroes were also revealed during PAX East.

An extensive preview on the studio’s current plans for Hero of the Storm’s gameplay, cosmetics, mounts and player progression was also revealed a few weeks ago, detailing how you level up your profile and how you can progress in the game’s current state.

Blizzard released details for this year’s BlizzCon on Tuesday, April 22, an event which will be taking place this coming November at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California. The studio has also released Battle.net Gift Cards , which will be available across a wide range of retailers in Europe for €20 / £15 each.
