Microsoft Considering Adding Game Preloads To Xbox One

Earlier today, OXM conducted an interview with Major “Larry Hryb” Nelson in which the popular Microsoft PR personality confirmed that game preloads are currently being considered as an option for the Xbox One . While Nelson wouldn’t give any further details on if this feature will ever come to the console, he did mention that it might be possible down the road.

Game preload options have become very popular with PC gamers over the last several years. This is essentially the fastest way to get access to a game as soon as it’s officially released to the public. Sony also added this feature to the PS4 through their hefty 1.7 software update released yesterday.

Microsoft and Sony have a history of trying to outdo each other when it comes to supporting those who buy their consoles. Going by this logic, I fully expect Microsoft to try and find a way to bring game preloads to the Xbox One . This process won’t happen overnight, but you can be rest assured that it definitely will happen.

Would any of you use the feature if it were added to the Xbox One ? Please feel free to let us know your thoughts on the topic and more in the comments section below.
