Ubisoft Dev Reveals “They’re All Fully Focused” on Watch_Dogs for Wii U

In an interview with Red Bull , Watch_Dogs’ creative director Jonathan Morin revealed that Ubisoft is now working on the Wii U version of the game after many delays, but he will not be directly involved in its development.

Even though Watch_Dogs on Wii U is underway again, Morin didn’t reveal a specific date for the title’s release on the platform. He did, however, explain why the Wii U version was neglected a bit; now that Watch_Dogs on the other platforms are “ finished, ” as he coined it, the studio can now focus its efforts on the Wii U version.

Right now [the Wii U version is] currently being done, but I’m not directly involved. We wanted to finish all the platforms that we are currently shipping, ” Morin told Red Bull. We needed those guys to get [the shipping versions] finished, and the good news now is that they’re all fully focused on the Wii U version, making sure it gets the attention it deserves to make it the best version it can be.

According to Watch_Dogs’ creative director Jonathan Morin, Watch_Dogs will have a 35- to 40-hour long story mode if players do a little roaming on the side, but completionists can look forward to around 100 hours of content. There is also no planned demo for the title.

Watch_Dogs will be dropping on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on May 27, a release date that was finally announced after several delays. A Wii U release has also been confirmed for this Fall. Watch_Dogs PC requirements have been released , as well as its Ultra requirements. The game will also feature over 13,000 unique animations.
