Selling EA Shares Makes Top Execs Millions

Selling EA Shares Makes Top Execs Millions

We all have to remember that gaming is a business, and EA has just succeeded in its business so hard that its top execs have made literally millions of dollars. Patrick Soderlund (EVP of EA Games), Stephen Bene (EA general counsel), and Peter Moore (COO) have all recently sold their shares of the company for quite a bit of money. Soderlund and Bene both sold their entire stake in the company while Moore sold half of his. Bene made nearly 300,000 dollars on his sale while Soderlund made 1.2 million. Moore however, made out the best by making nearly 3.5 million dollars! That’s insane!

EA’s stock value has currently hit its highest point since 2008 following an incredibly positive earnings report last week. Following the sale, EA shares jumped by 20 percent.

It’s likely that all the execs that sold their shares will stay within the company, but after making 3.5 million in one sale, I certainly would be tempted to retire.
