The Division has been Delayed until 2015

In an announcement made on the official The Division website on Thursday, May 15, senior community developer Antoine Emond revealed that the once upcoming third-person MMO will be delayed on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 until 2015.

In his humble announcement, Emond explained that combined development of The Division between Ubisoft Massive, Reflections and Red Storm is something that all three development studios are becoming proud of, and therefore the decision has been made to delay the title so as to not compromise the game in terms of quality.

Working on The Division is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us at Massive, Reflections, and Red Storm Entertainment. We are creating something we are really proud of and we don’t want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it’s ready, ” Emond wrote in the announcement.

Giving his thanks to those who offered their support to The Division and its development, he continued to tease that he can’t wait to show off the game’s progress at this year’s E3 in June.

We want to thank you again for the exceptional ongoing support. Community is at the heart of what we are doing and we’re very much designing the game with you in mind, so your involvement means a lot to us, ” he added. The production is getting stronger every day and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to at this year’s E3. 🙂

Ubisoft revealed The Division shortly after its Watch_Dogs presentation during last year’s E3 , back in 2013. The game’s initial release was slated between Q3 and Q4 of 2014 . It was also confirmed back in 2013 that The Division would require an always-online connection .
