Evolve Confirmed for PC, PS4 and Xbox One October 21

As reported by Polygon, Turtle Rock Studios’ cooperative first-person shooter Evolve has been announced for an October release–specifically on Tuesday, October 22–for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Being published by 2K Games and powered by the CryEngine, Evolve pits four players against a fifth player, who just so happens to be a big-ass monster who keeps on evolving and getting bigger and bigger.

The fifth player, the monster, kills other smaller creatures to become stronger. However, in order to become stronger, they must first go into a cocoon-like state, where they then become very vulnerable for a short period of time.

The other four players have to team up together and kill the monster before it gets too strong.

For those who wish to pre-order the title, 2K Games has offered up the Monster Expansion Pack, which includes the Savage Goliath skin for one of Evolve’s monsters, as well as an entirely new monster character that’ll be released post-launch.
