Ike Rejoins Super Smash Bros. and He’s Been Hitting the Gym

Ike, the protagonist from the Gamecube and Wii iterations of the Fire Emblem franchise, is returning to the Smash Bros. roster for Smash Bros. Four , and like a couple of other characters in the roster, he has received an updated character model. It is based off his “great lord” class advancement character mode, but more importantly, it’s gotten quite a big boost in muscle.

Ike now looks like a Fist of the North Star character. His chest is the thickness of a tree trunk, his legs are steel rods, his bare arms are buldging with muscle, and even his face looks less like a spikey haired RPG protagonist and more like a chiseled warrior that has seen some terrible things in his lifetime of war. Japanese fans have describes this new Ike as a “gorilla.”

Currently it appears as if Ike will be carrying over his move-set from Super Smash Bros. Brawl . We will be able to give you a full rundown of his capabilities when we try out the game at E3 this year.
