Detailed in a press release published on Thursday, May 29, the victors of Europe’s Pokémon National Championships qualifiers will be on their way to America’s capital–Washington, DC–to enter 2014’s Pokémon World Championships on Saturday, August 16 through to Sunday, August 17.
From ages young and old, the winners and runner-ups of the Pokémon trading card game championships and the Pokémon video game champions were decided in Manchester for the 2014 Pokémon UK national Championships.
Sectioned into three different age divisions–Junior, Senior and Masters–the video game competitors used the latest Pokémon games ( Pokémon X and Pokémon Y ), and the TCG players built card decks using cards from several Pokémon TCG expansions.
The European qualifiers now have the opportunity to battle against some of the best Pokémon players from more than 30 countries around the world, including North America, South America, Australia, Africa, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, and across Europe.
For those who can’t make it to the live event, there will be one more Online Competition on Friday, June 20 through to Sunday, June 22, entitled “Video Game Online Competition: 2014 International Challenge June”. Below is the list of qualifiers who will be attending the Pokémon World Championships.
