Ed Boon has been counting down to a reveal for over a month and we have finally gotten to the end of that countdown clock. After rumors and leaks and a ton of internet arguments, it appears as if everyone’s theory was correct. We are all getting a brand new Mortal Kombat .
The announcement came by way of a trailer with an awesome hip hop done by none other than Whiz Kalifa! Hopefully the whole game has a soundtrack this awesome. It shows Sub Zero and Scorpion fighting in the middle of the woods, and Scorpion is wrecking face. If we are to believe the trailer, then the new Mortal Kombat will feature weapons based combat again, as well as several new moves for all characters. Scorpion, for example, has a Guile style flash kick. You can watch the full trailer here .
Netherrealm Studios has not yet been able to announce the platforms the game will come out on, but the description of the trailer says that it is “fueled by next-gen technology.” Previous Amazon leaks have pegged the game as coming to the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC.
