Exclusively revealed to IGN, the sequel to 2012’s Forza Horizon by Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios has been announced for Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles.
Forza Horizon 2 is currently in development and is slated for release this Fall. According to IGN, the game will primarily be developed by Playground, but the studio will also be co-developing the game with Turn 10–just like the two studios developed the first iteration two years ago.
“ [Turn 10 and Playground] share this belief that we can create a true home for racing fans on Xbox One, ” said Horizon 2 creative director Ralph Fulton.
Allegedly, Horizon 2 will include hundreds of cars (including the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán), the long-awaited weather system, and Forza Motorsport 5’s Drivatar is also being adapted for the game.
The game will also be set in Southern Europe, and its music will again play a big part, too–as a music festival will be central event that the game will focus around. We’ll bring you more information on Forza Horizon 2 should more information arise.
