The Walking Dead Pinball Spin-off Launches this Summer

The Walking Dead Pinball Spin-off Launches this Summer

As detailed in a press release published on Wednesday, June 4, Pinball developer Zen Studios, The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games and The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman have all teamed up together to develop a spin-off themed around the classic Pinball game.

This unorthodox yet comical game will feature the story and the choice-driven gameplay of The Walking Dead : Season One, bringing familiar locations such as C lementine’s treehouse and Everett’s pharmacy in Macon.

The Pinball iteration of the game is said to offer an authentic tour of Season One, a tour that is said to capture the struggle and drama between Lee and C lementine’s story.

“Zen Studios is a huge admirer of Telltale Games, and we truly cherish the opportunity to work with such amazing visionaries,” said Mel Kirk, vice president of publishing at Zen Studios. “Working with Telltale’s The Walking Dead is a hallmark moment as we continue our quest to create the most memorable and authentic pinball experiences.”

Additionally, the game will also feature original story dialogue from The Walking Dead’s cast, and scenarios will include choosing who to save and who to leave behind, solving problems and keeping morale up for the rest of the group. You’ll also have to search for food and supplies, acquire important tools and navigate safely through hordes of Walkers.

“Zen knocked it out of the park with their interpretation Telltale’s first season of The Walking Dead as a pinball table,” said Steve Allison, senior vice president of publishing at Telltale Games. “Players once again get to step into the shoes of Lee Everett and protect Clementine as all the major events of season one play a role in the first ever pinball game that features choice and consequence gameplay.”

If you happen to be going to this year’s E3 on Tuesday, June 10 through to Thursday, June 12, you’ll be able to see a demo of The Walking Dead Pinball and receive the opportunity to have a hands-on of the game at Telltale’s booth in the Concourse Hall.

The Walking Dead Pinball will be available to download later on this summer on Zen Studios’ pinball platforms across console, PC and mobile stores.
