Wii U’s GameCube Controller Adapter Ships Alongside Super Smash Bros.

The GameCube controller adapter for Nintendo’s Wii U was announced back in May . Now, as reported by GameSpot, Nintendo has revealed that the device will ship alongside the new Super Smash Bros. game on the Wii U.

Designed to commemorate the launch of Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U, the adapter will allow for up to four wired or wireless GameCube controllers to be used at once on the console. To top it off, Nintendo has revealed that the adapter will have a price tag of just $19.99.

According to GameSpot, Nintendo is also making a new GameCub e controller “ to honor devoted loyalty to a classic way to play. ” This controller will be embossed with Super Smash Bros. decals and markings, and it’ll sell for $29.99.

Both the controller and the adapter are slated to launch worldwide with the Wii U version Super Smash Bros. in Q4 of this year. The 3DS version of the game is slated to launch in North America on Friday, October 3.
