Mortal Kombat X will Feature a Persistent Online Mode

In an interview with Game Informer on Wednesday, June 11, Mortal Kombat (2011) developer NetherRealm Studios’ creative director Ed Boon took a moment to discuss the online component of the latest addition the the Mortal Kombat series, Mortal Kombat X .

In terms of the gameplay, Boon thinks the main thing of Mortal Kombat X is its multiplayer component. The studio will be introducing an “ online experience that is persistent, ” which is touted to play a major role in your experience when playing Mortal Kombat X .

As far as the gameplay is concerned, I think the main thing is the online component, ” Boon told Game Informer. ” We’re going to be introducing this online metagame that everyone participates in. It’s an online experience that is persistent. Everyone is going to be playing it, and there are benefits. It’s definitely something that’s going to play a major role in people’s experience playing Mortal Kombat .
