As spotted by gamrReview on Friday, June 13, HD editions of Square Enix’ Sleeping Dogs cropped up on the UK online retailer ShopTo for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Aptly dubbed “ Sleeping Dogs HD ”, the trio was listed as available to pre-order for £44.84, 18 percent off its Recommended Retail Price of £54.99.
The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions in particular were slated for a Friday, November 21 release, but nothing was listed for the PC version.
Since gamrReview’s initial report, the listings have been down from ShopTo.
With Sleeping Dogs’ sequel– Triad Wars –currently being in the works since its announcement back in 2012, it’s seems to be a recurring practice for game developers to bring out remastered versions of original games before the release of a sequel–take Halo 2 Anniversary as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection before Halo 5: Guardians for example.
