Catlateral Damage Could Satisfy The Internet’s Obsession with Cats

An excellent looking game about cats has just appeared on Kickstarter, and it could potentially set the Internet ablaze. Catlateral Damage is a simulator that allows cat lovers to live out their pets’ mischievous adventures in first person, and by mischievous adventures I mean swipe your owner’s valuables onto the floor because you’re a cat and that’s what you do.

Fittingly enough, Catlateral Damages’ Kickstarter trailer stars two cats as the game’s developers. The two creative felines explain that players will be able to jump on furniture, knock stuff over and even chase after laser pointers. If funded, the developers plan on including more kitty activities such as chasing mice and feeding on that oh-so-addicting catnip. There is a goal to the game, and that is to travel to the neighborhood mansion, find the valuable item within and smash it like that darn cat you’ve always wanted to own.

The actual lead developer of Catlateral Damage is Chris Chung. He is asking for $40,000 on Kickstarter to bring his game to Steam. If funded, the game is slated for a Q4 2014 release. In the meantime, Chung has provided a demo on his Kickstarter page.
