Revealed on Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb’s official website, the first-person horror game Outlast has finally made its way onto Xbox One after first releasing for the PC back in September, 2014 and later for the PlayStation 4 back in February.
Available in both North America and Europe as of Wednesday, June 18, you are now able to buy Outlast from the Xbox Game Store for $19.99 (or your regional equivalent).
“ In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum, ” the game’s description reads. “ A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently re-opened by the “research and charity” branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation, the asylum has been operating in strict secrecy… until now.
Acting on a tip from an anonymous source, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility, and what he discovers walks a terrifying line between science and religion, nature and something else entirely, ” the description continues . “ Once inside, his only hope of escape lies with the terrible truth at the heart of Mount Massive. ”
