The Order: 1886’s Werewolves are Designed to be Believable and Terrifying

A dev diary of Ready at Dawn’s The Order: 1886 was published on YouTube on Thursday, June 26, and the topic of discussion was centred around making the half-breeds–also known as Lycans or werewolves–of the alternate London third-person shooter more believable in the game’s universe.

During the video, the development team discusses the creative process of bringing the Lycans to life, focusing primarily on how the creatures would look and act believably–right down to the transformation sequence from human to werewolf.

The Order: 1886 is slated to launch early next year on Friday, February 20 exclusively for Sony’s PlayStation 4. Details on the Collector’s Edition of the game have already been revealed .

It’s also been established that The Order: 1886 may have sequels . Ready At Dawn’s creative director Ru Weerasuriya implied such a thing in an interview back in April.

We’ve built this IP to be much bigger than just one game, ” Weerasuriya explained. “ There are stories that have been told in the game but there are stories that haven’t and stories about what happens after the events of this game. Absolutely, though, I would love to get the chance to tell more stories with sequels and other things we can do with the IP.

We’ll bring your more details on The Order: 1886’s development should further information reach our ears. You can watch Ready at Dawn’s dev diary via the embedded video below.
