Mega Man spiritual successor to Receive own Animated Series

As detailed on the official Mighty No. 9 website, a string of new announcements regarding the game were revealed at this year’s Anime Expo in Los Angeles, under new $100,000 PayPal-based funding campaign to help develop a slew of additional content for the game (including an animated series).

In amongst a few other things regarding bonus content for the game, a CGI teaser trailer the Mighty No. 9 animated series was put together by Japanese animation studio Digital Frontier on its own dime, which demonstrates what the animated series could be like.

Mighty No. 9 was successfully Kickstarted back in September, 2013, but by October the crowdfunding campaign had its original $900,000 goal smashed with a total tally of just about a whopping $4 million.
