According to a report by The Tracking Board, Prime Universe and Vertigo are working together to adapt the video game series Thief into a major motion picture. Adrian Askarieh and Roy Lee are attached to produce.
Askarieh also produced the 2007 adaptation of the Hitman franchise under Prime Universe. Both Askarieh and Roy Lee are attached to the Deus Ex: Human Revolution film that is currently under production, though we haven’t heard much news about it since. Vertigo has also previously worked on the Lego Movie .
Square-Enix, owner of the Thief franchise, along with Prime Universe and Vertigo have all not commented on this story. So for now take this rumor with a grain of salt.
