Doctor Who actress is Halo: Nightfall’s Female Lead

As reported by The Wrap on Wednesday, July 9, Doctor Who actress Christina Chong will be playing the role of Halo: Nightfall’s female lead in Ridley Scott’s’ digital spin-off series set within the Halo universe.

Having also appeared in “ 24: Live Another Day , Black Mirror ” and “ Whitechapel ”, Christina Chong will be joining Mike Colter, who’ll play the role of Agent Locke ( the new SPARTAN character that’ll feature in Halo 5: Guardians ), in the live-action series.

Chong’s character in particular is named Macer, but specific details of her character have yet to be revealed.

The series itself will be co-produced by Alien director Ridley Scott, and it’ll be written by “ Prison Break ” creator Paul Scheuring. It’s already been explained that Ridley Scott’s Halo series will be separate from the Halo series Steven Spielberg will be producing.

The first episode of this series will release alongside Halo: The Master Chief Collection , which is slated to release on Tuesday, November 11 this year–just about 10 years since the original Halo 2 initially launched–exclusively for Xbox One.
