“Power Pak” now available for PS4’s DualShock 4

As reported by IGN on Wednesday, July 16, gaming peripheral and accessories manufacturer Nyko has announced that its snap-on rechargeable “Power Pak” battery is now available for Sony’s DualShock 4 controllers for the PlayStation 4.

According to IGN, the battery pack connects to the DualShock 4 via its micro USB port, and the Power Pak boasts to have double the battery capacity of the controller, which simply means the controller should be able to last twice as long before needing to be recharged.

It’s lightweight and does not impede gameplay or ergonomics, enabling users to extend their gaming sessions, ” a Nyko representative promises, according to IGN.

Basically, the Power Pak is designed to add extra power to whatever controller it is attached to. Furthermore, it is also compatible with Nyko’s Charge Base, which is a docking device that can store and recharge two PlayStation 4 controllers at any given time when they’re not in use.

The Power Pak for the PlayStation 4’s DualShock 4 is now available in video game accessory stores for a recommended retail price of $20, or you regional equivalent; you’ll be able to buy one from both Amazon and GameStop .
