League of Legends dev vlog details Patch 4.12

As detailed in a press release published on Thursday, July 17, League of Legends developer has put up a dev vlog via YouTube that goes into detail about the game’s 4.12 patch, which brings about changes to some of the game’s characters, as well as its jungle timers, items and more.

In Patch 4.12, Kassadin, Alastar and Lucian with have some of their respective traits changed in order for them to be more balanced in combat.

Furthermore, two of the game’s–Essence Reaver and Bloodthirster–have been changed to deal out more damage and more lifesteal respectively.

Lastly, jungle timers have been added to the game, which can be viewed by bringing up the Scoreboard while in-game. The timers are respective both Red and Blue buffs on both sides of Summoner’s Rift, as well as Dragon and Baron.

We’ve established that Riot Games is also planning on updating League of Legends’ patcher and client, removing Adobe Air and replacing it with the studio’s own tech that’ll also use HTML 5. Much like how the Summoner’s Rift map is being updated , the game’s client will also be receiving a significant visual update at a yet-to-be-announced date.

The soon-to-be spruced up Summoner’s Rift will be more visually grounded in the game’s lore, so that players can understand and read the map and the actions made with it more clearly.
