Check out this fan-made devamp of The Last of Us: Remastered

Remastering titles from last-gen to current-gen consoles seems to be an increasing trend, but what about devamping games entirely to the point where they would look like they originally released on Sony’s PlayStation One?

That’s what a few NeoGAF users have decided to do with The Last of Us: Remastered : transform it in such a way to make it look like an authentic PlayStation One title.

It originally began as a joke by NeoGAF user ascii42 , who depicted The Last of Us as a PlayStation One title in The Last of Us NeoGAF thread.

Shortly afterwards, other NeoGAF users started pitching in on the joke, contributing their own depictions of what The Last of Us would look like as a PlayStation One title.

From this, a challenge was put forward to the NeoGAF community to devamp modern titles (from last-gen to current-gen) to make them look like a PlayStation One classic, such as the original BioShock , Dota 2 , Kingdom Hearts and more.

We’ve established that a a PlayStation 4 and The Last of Us: Remastered bundle was sighted on the online retailer Amazon France back in mid-June.

The Last of Us: Remastered is slated to release on Tuesday, July 29 –the day before this bundle supposedly becomes available.

Naughty Dog employees took to Twitter recently to express their enjoyment of experiencing The Last of Us: Remastered at 60 frames per second, proclaiming that playing the game at that frame rate feels “ amazing.

We’ll bring you more The Last of Us -related news should further information reach our ears.
