New Mighty No. 9 Gameplay Footage Released

New Mighty No. 9 Gameplay Footage Released

Showcased in a video published via YouTube on Tuesday, July 22, new gameplay footage has been released for the Mega Man spiritual successor, Mighty No. 9 , which shows off the game’s characters climbing, blasting and zooming around on a 2D plain.

The gameplay footage itself shows off the game’s main character, Beck, moving around and blasting enemies in a typical 2D platformer fashion. As well as showing off his dash ability, the footage also shows Beck changing between a selection of suits, with each suggested to have their own abilities and movesets.

The footage also shows off a couple Mighty No. 9’s bosses, and includes the game’s female character, named Call.

We’ve established that Mighty No. 9 will be receiving its own animated series , which was revealed among other announcements during this year’s Anime Expo in Los Angeles.

Mighty No. 9 was successfully Kickstarted back in September, 2013, but by October the crowdfunding campaign had its original $900,000 goal smashed with a total tally of just about a whopping $4 million.

Mighty No. 9 is slated to release worldwide in April, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.

We’ll bring you more news on Mighty No. 9’s development should further information reach our ears. You can watch the Mighty No. 9’s gameplay footage via the embedded video below.
