More people are intending to buy a Wii U since E3, survey Claims

As reported by Twinfinite on Tuesday, July 22, according to a recently published survey by IHS, a global information company, people have become very excited for Nintendo’s Wii U following the company’s press conference at this year’s E3 in Los Angeles.

Thanks to the gameplay demos and announcements showcased during said press conference, people reportedly have more of an incentive to buy a Wii U, according to the survey. In fact, the intent to buy the console for those who participated in the survey shot up by roughly 50 percent from before E3 until afterwards.

While the Wii U seems to be receiving more of an interest, Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One also performed well during this year’s E3, according to the survey. Specifically, demand for the Xbox One had risen up by seven percent among 1,000 attendees, but demand for the PlayStation 4 still managed to maintain the highest overall percentage.

We’ve established that it was recently revealed over Twitter by SEGA’s research and development producer Yosuke Okunari that no more retro titles will be added to the Wii U’s Virtual Console, but there might be some in the future, according to a follow-up statement .

We’ll bring you more news on the Wii U should further information reach our ears.
