Up until today, the Wily’s Castle stage in Smash Bros. was only announced for the Wii U version of Smash Bros. However, today Sakurai announced that some of the more iconic stages, like Wily Castle, will make it into both versions.
“In general, there are completely different stages in the 3DS and Wii U version, but we made Wily Castle and the special boxing ring available for both versions!” Sakurai said.
“We didn’t forget the Yellow Devil either,” he added. “There may be some small differences in the stages, such as the 3DS stage appearing to be during daylight hours.”
As of yet it is unclear whether or not these two stages will be the only two that will be in both versions. We will have to wait and see.
