As reported by TechRapter recently, the former Halo composer of Destiny developer Bungie, Marty O’Donnell, is said to to receive $95,000 from his ex-employer after being let go “ without cause ” back in early April.
O’Donnell’s lawsuit against Bungie was filed back in early May, and it states that Bungie didn’t pay O’Donnell for “ unused vacation, paid time off, sabbatical time and other benefits, ” things that the two had previously agreed on.
“ Bungie has a policy, pattern and practice of paying its employees accrued but unused vacation, paid time off, sabbatical time, and other benefits, and both [Harold Ryan, Bungie’s president] and Bungie acknowledged O’Donnell’s entitlement to such benefits and promised to pay them, ” the lawsuit states, according to TechRapter.
Also according to TechRapter, Bungie has denied the allegations against it.
In the settlement to O’Donnell, £38,385 will be given for unpaid, as well as the same amount for damages, as compensation. Bungie’s total bill, which includes legal fees and interest, bring the total amount to $95,000 to be compensated to O’Donnell.
