A while ago, a brand new character, Celica, was revealed for Blazblue Chrono Phantasma . The character was said to use her mech, Minerva, for battle. It was unclear at the time what this meant. Many fans theorized that she played like Carl or Relius, a puppet style character. Instead, she actually doesn’t fight much at all. Her mech, Minerva basically does all the fighting for her.
Celica is being designed to be a character that is appealing to beginners. Her combos are very easy to perform, with Minerva’s attacks very easily connecting one into another. What’s interesting about Minerva is that her limbs act as Celica’s attacks, but Celica’s body is actually counted as her own hurtbox making her attacks strangely disjointed.
