Voice Actress for The Last of Us’ Ellie Would Like to Return in Sequel

Voice Actress for The Last of Us’ Ellie Would Like to Return in Sequel

In an interview with The Independent on Monday, July 28, Ashley Johnson, the voice actress behind The Last of Us’ Ellie, has expressed her interest in returning to voice the character should there be a The Last of Us sequel.

I’ve been doing voice overs since I was very young but The Last of Us was my first videogame and the first time I had done motion capture, ” Johnson told The Independent. “ I play videogames so I like that I was able to make one and play a key role. I would definitely do it again.

It’s a really great process because you have so much more time to experiment – you don’t have to wait on lighting, or the set up of having to change some of the set design, or having to change your clothes, ” Johnson continued.

Johnson also stated that she would not be fazed should she be called to be Ellie again, and that she would have no issues with working for The Last of Us’ developer Naughty Dog again.

They’re such a wonderful group of people to work for so in general I just love them, ” she said.

Ashley Johnson recently criticized bigwig publisher Ubisoft for Assassin’s Creed Unity’s male-only characters, calling for other video game developers to include ” stronger females that are not just the damsel in distress, the love interest or oversexualised.

Naughty Dog has also debunked a recent teaser image of a sequel to The Last of Us , as the image in question was later revealed to not be official artwork.

We’ll bring you more The Last of Us -related news should further information reach our ears.
