EA Announces Xbox One Exclusive Subscription Service

EA Announces Xbox One Exclusive Subscription Service

As detailed on its official website, bigwig publisher Electronic Arts has announced a new, Xbox One-exclusive subscription service that’ll allow players to play EA titles for a set price per month.

This new service, titled “EA Access”, which is currently in Beta, is a monthly subscription that allows for players to play EA games from “The Vault”. The Vault is a catalogue of EA’s biggest titles on the Xbox One, which are available to download and play right off the bat.

During EA Access’ Beta, subscribers will have unlimited access to four EA games: FIFA 14 , Madden NFL 25 , Peggle 2 and Battlefield 4 . More titles are said to be added soon.

Below is a list of additional benefits you’ll receive should you subscribe to EA Access, courtesy of EA.

  • Awesome Value: Besides the great games in The Vault, EA Access members will save 10% on purchases of EA digital content for Xbox One offered through the Xbox Games Store. From full digital-download titles like the upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition or NHL 15 , to additional membership services such as Battlefield 4 Premium or even FIFA Ultimate Team points, it’s all 10% off for members.

  • Play First: Membership in EA Access lets you experience trials of new EA games up to five days before the release date. It starts with Madden NFL 15 , NHL 15 , FIFA 15 , NBA LIVE 15 , and Dragon Age: Inquisition , but more are on the way. If you decide to buy the game, your progress will carry over so you can pick up right where you left off.

EA Access will set you back $4.99 per month, and there will even be an option to pay annually for $29.99.

You can also subscribe to EA Access via GameStop’s local retail stores. Amazon and EB Games will also provide EA Access subscriptions for Xbox One players in both Europe and Canada respectively.

We’ll bring you more news on EA Access should further information reach our ears.
