As detailed on Battle.net on Wednesday, August 6, Blizzard Entertainment has announced some of its plans for the upcoming 10th anniversary of its MMORPG, World of Warcraft . These plans include–but are not limited to–the giveaway of a cute Molten Corgi.
To celebrate 10 years of World of Warcraft , anyone who logs into the game during its anniversary event will be able to claim the Molten Corgi as a new pet for free.
In addition to the Molten Corgi, as featured above, World of Warcraft’s 10th anniversary will also host two in-game events: one for PvP and one for raiding.
To recapture the tug-of-war between Horde and Alliance players at Tarren Mill and Southshore, Blizzard will be hosting a Team Deathmatch-style Battleground that’ll be based on that particular struggle; you’ll need to work as a team in order to come out on top as the victor.
Lastly, Blizzard will also be hosting a special 40-player Raid Finder version of Molten Core, so players will be able to relive the experience of hunting down Ragnaros and his minions again. Completing this raid will reward with an Achievement and a special Core Hound mount.
World of Warcraft’s 10th anniversary will be taking place this November, and the anniversary event itself will only be available for a limited time; specific details have yet to be revealed. We’ll bring you more World of Warcraft related news should further information each our ears.
