Even though we already have one of the most cinematic and interesting video game adaptations in The Walking Dead by Telltale games, many developers are still trying to turn the license into a shooter. Overkill software, the creator of Pay Day 2, is taking on the license now with their new game simply called “Overkill’s The Walking Dead.”
The game has been described as a “competitive co-op experience,” by Starbreeze Studios, parent company to Overkill.
"It will be gameplay focused, ferocious, and bring chaos to the traditional industry model--from us developers straight to you," Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson Klint said in a statement. He continued saying this will be Starbreezes “biggest endeavor to date.”
