Sony Computer Entertainment Asia President Stepping Down

Sony recently announced that Hiroshi Kawano, president and CEO of SCE Japan Asian will be stepping down from his position on August 31 st . He will be replaced by the current vice president of administration, Atushi Morita. Morita will step up to the position on September 1 st , the same day when Sony will host the SCEJA Press Conference 2014, an independent press conference of any big conference, like E3 or Tokyo Game Show.

Kawano has been with Sony since 1985, and has taken various roles within the company including president of Consumer Sales and general manager of Sony Europe. It is unclear whether or not Kawano will be remaining in the video game industry at this time.
