In Japan, a limited edition of Guilty Gear Xrd –Sign- will be sold that will include a six button fighting pad. This black pad, stylized with several X’s carved into it, looks a lot like the old-school Sega Saturn pads of yore. It includes a disc based d-pad, a six button spread across the face including all four normal face buttons and r1 and r2, two triggers, and a share and menu button. What it doesn’t have, oddly enough, are analog sticks and a touch pad, which pretty much settles that this pad can only be used for fighting games.
That’s not all the limited edition version will come with. Priced at 10,778 yen, the bundle also includes the Guilty Gear Vocal Collection CD , and another item to be revealed at a later date. Note that this bundle is retailing at almost twice the price of a downloadable version of Xrd , which goes for 5,980 yen. A disc based version will retail for 7,538 yen.
It is currently unclear whether or not this bundle will come to America, but don’t hesitate to import it. It will work on your PS4 just fine!
