Ubisoft Says Nintendo Gamers Won’t Buy Mature Games

Ubisoft Says Nintendo Gamers Won’t Buy Mature Games

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has recently said what most fans believed for a long time. Nintendo gamers simply won’t buy mature games. Specifically, he said that they won’t buy Assassin’s Creed .

“It’s very simple,” Guillemot said in an interview with Game informer. “What we see is that Nintendo customers don’t buy Assassin’s Creed . Last year [with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ], we sold in very small numbers.”

Guillemot said that Watch_Dogs will be the last “mature” game that Ubisoft releases for the Nintendo platform. That being said, Ubisoft will continue to bring more family friendly games to the platform in the future. For example, Just Dance 2015 is planned to release on the Wii U this fall.
