Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exosuit Explained

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exosuit Explained

Taking one look at the new direction the latest Call of Duty is headed, and it’ easy to see it will be nothing like we’ve ever played before (in this series anyway). But why such a huge shift?

Well…because you asked for it that’s why! In a recent interview, Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey revealed how additions like the Exosuit came about due to fans calling for change. “We had heard loud and clear from fans that they wanted change, they wanted innovation; that we needed to bring something new to Call of Duty . And change is scary sometimes, right? I can’t say everybody thought it was the right idea on day one, but I’m pretty sure most people think it’s the right idea today.” He says.

While the initial kneejerk reaction to such a radical shift was significant at first, things are a bit calmer now that some of the onset outrage has died down. Condrey states, “Three years ago, the exo wasn’t in the mind’s eye of the public like it is today. You think about it now; it’s films like Elysium and Edge of Tomorrow and Oblivion; and you see it all over the news of the military adopting it and healthcare. So everyone’s talking about the exo. But three years ago, it was a big step.”

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare hits both the current and previous generation consoles (including PC) on November 4 th .
