Bungie States Destiny is Biggest Game They’ve Ever Made

Bungie States Destiny is Biggest Game They’ve Ever Made

While Bungie counts the recent beta period of their upcoming MMO shooter Destiny a success, they were a bit surprised by some of the initial feedback.

While any good beta period worth its salt will result in a pool of useful data that developers can use to tweak certain aspects of their game before launch (in order to make it the best it can possibly be) Bungie says they were taken a bit off-guard by those who claim the title simply wasn’t big enough for their tastes. “If I’m honest with you, it blew my mind, because it’s the biggest game we’ve ever made. I don’t think people understand the depth and amount of gameplay there is in Destiny .” Said production director Jonty Barnes.

Really? Did he just say it’s not them…it’s us?

I must admit, I shared the sentiments of my fellow gamers at first. When playing the beta, I was a bit underwhelmed myself. However, Barnes feels once people delve into the completely fleshed out package, they’re likely to change their minds. He states, “I honestly believe Destiny is a huge game. I can tell you that through blood and sweat as well. It’s been a huge game and undertaking for us. Compared to anything we’ve done before, if you’re going to do a comparison, you’re laughing, honestly.”

Destiny hits both the previous and current-gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles in October.
