Destiny Won’t Let You Trade Items at Launch

Destiny Won’t Let You Trade Items at Launch

As detailed in a weekly update published on Friday, August 22, it was confirmed by Halo developer Bungie that players will not be able to trade items with other players in the forthcoming shooter Destiny at launch.

The reasoning behind this restriction is because Bungie wants you to earn the items that you get, and not have it given to you via a shortcut such as trading.

We want you to earn ‘em, ” Bungie wrote in its weekly update. “ You should be able to tell a badass story for every sweet jewel in your arsenal. Once you earn them, the various Guardians under your account will be able to trade them, but weapons belong to the players who acquire them through action and bravery.

Bungie also revealed during this year’s Gamescom that Destiny’s first expansion will be available for all platforms in December . The expansion will be a timed exclusive on both the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4, with with expansion releasing on other platforms soon after.

You can secure access to Destiny’s expansions by pre-ordering the game, which comes with additional goodies to boot .

Destiny is slated to launch worldwide on Tuesday, September 9 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. A PC version of Destiny is currently “ a heavy point of discussion.
