Hyrule Warriors 1.2.0 Update Launches September 1 in Japan

Hyrule Warriors 1.2.0 Update Launches September 1 in Japan

As reported by Link’s Hideaway on Wednesday, August 27, the version 1.2.0 update for the Dynasty Warriors -like game Hyrule Warriors has been slated to released in Japan on Monday, September 1, and with it comes a new weapon, a new game mode and more.

As depicted in the featured image above, the new weapon that’ll be introduced to Hyrule Warriors with the update is the 8-bit sword and shield, reminiscent of the equipment featured in the very first Legend of Zelda game. Both the sword and shield will only be available to Link, and they’re unlocked upon reaching the “Sword” rank in the Hylian Sword moveset.

As for the new game mode, the 1.2.0 update will add a new Challenge Mode feature to the game, which has been described as being similar to Hyrule Warrior’s Boss Challenge. Different scenarios will have to be completed one after the other in the Challenge Mode, and each challenge presented must be completed in a certain amount of time.

Lastly, the update brings in a  feature called the “BGM Settings Function”, which is essentially an audio list of all the background music featured in the game. You’ll be able to set the background music of your choosing for each stage, and you’ll also be able to set a track for battle, too.

Hyrule Warriors will also ship with an exclusive costume pack containing skins from the iconic “ Ocarina of Time ” game if you pre-order Hyrule Warriors from GameStop.

We’ve established Hyrule Warrior’s current roster of characters that’ll feature in the game, which includes Link, Impa, Zelda, Midna, Agitha, Zant, Luna and Fi. We’ve also established that the game will not feature online multiplayer .

Hyrule Warriors is slated to release first in Japan on thursday, August 14 for the Wii U. European, Australian and North American releases follow up a month later on Friday, September 19, Saturday, September 20 and Friday, September 26 respectively.

We’ll bring you more news on Hyrule Warriors should further information reach our ears.
