Nippon Ichi software has just recently announced Disgaea 5 , their latest tactical role playing game heading to the PlayStation 4. They said that Disgaea 5 will have more “volume” than any other title in the series. On the PS3 10 characters could be displayed at a time. Now, over 100 characters can be displayed at a time, meaning these strategy battles will be getting absurd.
Disgaea 5 will have two central themes: revenge, and multiple worlds. Nearly everyone in this game is a demo lord. The heroine is Seraphine, a demon lord of the “gorgeous underworld.” Usalia is another character who is the demon lord of the “Rabbit Rabbit World.” In fact, it seems like the only non-demon lord character is Kilia, the protagonist, who is a young demon boy who has swore revenge against the Demon Emperor Void Dark.
It’s probably gonna be goofy and have panty jokes, so don’t take it too seriously.
