Microsoft Will Replace your Xbox One if its Too Noisy, Kinect-less Variant Suspected

As reported by CNET on Wednesday, September 10, Bigwig company Microsoft has announced that it will replace faulty Xbox Ones should they be proven to be too noisy for some users. This comes as a result of numerous complaints on the company’s forums regarding loud buzzing or clicking emanating from an Xbox One when running.

What’s curious is that the majority of these complaints reportedly appear to be from those who bought the Kinect-less variant of the Xbox One console. One user in particular, who posted about their issue back in August, described it as a “ terrible noise, ” later adding that said noise “ sounds like an old printer and lots of static.

Over 800 similar stories have showed up on Microsoft’s forums within the last month, showing that this particular issue isn’t an isolated one. In a statement provided to CNET by a Microsoft spokesperson, the company confirmed the issue publicly, and that it would replace such faulty consoles with fully functioning ones.

We have heard that a small number of Xbox One owners in some situations may hear a noise from the console that is too loud, ” the spokesperson told CNET. ” While this does not affect the safety or functionality of the system, we’re asking customers who believe they are experiencing this issue to contact Xbox Support. At the request of our customers, we are exchanging those consoles for new systems.

Xbox One users having this issue are advised to contact Microsoft’s support team as soon as possible. No details were provided on how long it would take for a faulty Xbox One to be replaced with a new one. Microsoft has also not confirmed just how many Xbox One users might have been affected by this issue

We’ll bring you more news on the Xbox One should further information reach our ears.
