Rockstar Says PC Release Needs More Time

With the next-gen versions of GTA hitting consoles in November, some PC users are a bit envious their copies won’t arrive for another few months (towards the end of January 2015). Now we learn why from the developer themselves.

In response to fans inquiries (or perhaps rants is a more accurate description), Rockstar made the following statement via their website in regards to the PC version’s delay: “We’re glad to see so many of you are excited for the upcoming release of the new versions of GTA V and we look forward to sharing more details with you soon. We are also incredibly excited to be bringing GTA V to the PC, but the game requires a little more development time in order to ensure that it is as amazing and polished as possible. Please do stay tuned as we reveal new features and information about all the new versions in the weeks ahead.”

While only time will tell if the extra development time is really going to add that extra layer of polish one would expect from a PC port, the mod community no-doubt already has a laundry list of tweaks planned for the future. See my previous article on GTA 4 modding for more info!
