Something… peculiar happened the other day. Square-Enix Japan recently launched a portal page for the entire Final Fantasy XIII series and there was one logo on it that felt a little out of place. It was a logo for the Steam platform, which seems to suggest that the game will become available for download on the Steam sometime in the future. However, Square-Enix has not yet announced an official PC release for Final Fantasy XIII , and has not commented on this logo’s appearance.
Hopefully we do see Final Fantasy XIII put on PC platforms soon, because that opens it up to the modding community. Maybe then the game can be made more open ended earlier, with an expanded and more interesting crystarium system.
