GTA V on PC Delayed Because it Needs More Time

The PC version of the smash-hit Grand Theft Auto V has been delayed by a couple of months compared to its Xbox One and PlayStation 4 counterparts; instead of releasing on Tuesday, November 18 along with the console version of the game, the PC release will be launching on Tuesday, January 27.

Following the announcement of the PC version’s delay, Rockstar Games offered an explanation as to why Grand Theft Auto V will be launching on the computer much later than it’ll be launching on the current-gen consoles, explaining that the game needs more development time to ensure that it’ll be “ as amazing and polished as possible.

We’re glad to see so many of you are excited for the upcoming release of the new versions of GTAV and we look forward to sharing more details with you soon, ” Rockstar wrote in the comments section of its original announcement post on its official website.

We are also incredibly excited to be bringing GTAV to the PC, but the game requires a little more development time in order to ensure that it is as amazing and polished as possible. Please do stay tuned as we reveal new features and information about all the new versions in the weeks ahead.

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto V became available following its current-gen and PC announcement as this year’s E3 event , during Sony’s press conference. The PC port of the game is said to “ take full advantage of the power of the PC, ” according to its entry on Steam.

It’s also been confirmed that all of your saved progress in GTA Online , either on the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3, will be able to be transferred to the current-gen consoles’ version.

We’ll bring you more news on Grand Theft Auto V should further information reach our ears.
