As reported by GameSpot on Saturday, September 20, Dying Light developer Techland has announced that if you pre-order its open-world zombie survival game, you’ll receive an exclusive multiplayer game mode, coined “Be the Zombie”. Offering a little role reversal, Be the Zombie allows for asymmetrical gameplay where one player can attack another as “the Night Hunter”, which is described as the apex predator of zombies.
” Be the Zombie is a competitive asymmetric multiplayer mode that lets you invade other players’ games as the Night Hunter – an ultimate zombie with a unique set of deadly skills, ” Techland explains. ” By playing as the Night Hunter, you turn into a fast, agile and dangerous predator, whose objective is to hunt down human survivors. ”
Furthermore, if you pre-order Dying Light through Steam you’ll receive a Steam-exclusive blueprint that’ll allow you to build an in-game weapon called “Punk Queen”. The Punk Queen, which is essentially a crowbar kitted out with every possible upgrade, boasts electrical, burn, acid and razor damage to brutalize zombies left, right and center.
Dying Light has been pushed to release in late-January next year . It is slated to come out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
