As detailed in a press release published on Monday, September 22, information regarding Assassin’s Creed Unity’s Season Pass has been revealed, along with the confirmation of three new upcoming DLC packs for the game as well.
As described in the press release, the Season Pass allows for you to further explore the story of Assassin’s Creed Unity’s main character, Arno. With the Season Pass come the introduction of Assassin’s Creed Chronicles , which is a new saga that takes you on an adventures through different time periods that have so far been previously unexplored in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

More weapons, missions and customisations options, along with three more missions
Assassin’s Creed: Dead Kings is a new story campaign that is set after the events of Assassin’s Creed Unity . In this additional story, Arno leaves Paris to travel to Saint Denis, which is described as a troubled and mysterious city that possesses an extensive underground that holds the crypts of long-dead French kings.
Dead Kings is a self-contained set of missions where you’ll have to fight your way through and explore the depths of the Basilica to uncover the darkest secrets of the city. In this campaign you’ll also be able to equip a new explosive weapon, the “Guillotine gun”, which is touted as a weapon for both short- and long-ranged combat.
Additionally, new co-op missions will also be included in Dead Kings , along with additional weapons, gear, skills and outfits–all of which can be unlocked and carried over into the main game.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Chine is a new standalone experience that delivers a new story, setting and new gameplay. Chronicles: China is touted as a 2.5D reimagining of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and it’ll be set in the Middle Kingdom during the 16th century, where the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood has returned to her homeland.
Inspired by traditional brush paintings and Chinese architecture, Chronicles: China is said to offer you a vibrant and immersive experience, with the main character, Shao Jun, going on a revenge-quest with skills learned from Ezio Auditore.
Finally, the third DLC pack offers more missions, weapon and additional customization options for players to choose from, which’ll allow for you to upgrade your customized Master Assassin to tackle three new missions. What’s more is that the DLC also introduces 30 new weapons, equipment and outfits, including the exclusive Fleur de Lys sword available on Assassin’s Creed Unity’s launch day.
Assassin’s Creed Unity’s Season Pass will release in early 2015. No pricing information was provided.
Ubisoft officially announced back in late-August that Assassin’s Creed Unity has been delayed by two weeks from its original release date, pushing it to Tuesday, November 11. The game was originally slated to release worldwide on Tuesday, October 28 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Ubisoft has also reassured that it’s trying not to delay the game’s PC release .
