Star Wars: Episode VII Will Be “More Fiery and Messy”

Star Wars: Episode VII Will Be “More Fiery and Messy”

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday, September 23, Star Wars: Episode VII actor, Oscar Isaac (whose role has yet to be revealed) has hinted that the new addition to the Star Wars saga will embrace the spirit of the original trilogy while also being “ more fiery and messy.

According to Isaac, Star Wars: Episode VII’s director, J.J. Abrams, is seemingly determined to utilize sets and extras wherever possible in the film, which apparently results with scenes featuring “ hundreds of Stormtroopers.

There’s a lot of enthusiasm and it’s being done with a lot of heart “There’s nothing cynical about the way we’re doing this. Even in the way [Abrams is] shooting it—he’s shooting on film and actually building the sets, so you’ve got hundreds of Stormtroopers or whatever, and hundreds of extras and all the ships. You actually see it. It’s all real. Everyone can interact with the world, ” Isaac told Entertainment Weekly.

I’m constantly looking for a cheesy line to say to harken back to the old ones,” Isaac later added. “No, what they’re trying to do and what’s really great is J.J.’s been loosening it up a little bit and trying to make it alive and energized. It’s not formal. They’re messy, energized people. We’ve all intentionally tried to do that. Just make it a little more fiery and messy.

We’ve established that the iconic X-Wing will be making an appearance in Star Wars: Episode VII , and we’ve also established that two new cast members were added to Star Wars: Episode VII roster back in early-June, a list which itself was announced back in early-May (and includes most of the original actors from the original trilogy ).

Furthermore, Star Wars: Battlefront’s developer DICE went on trips to view Star Wars memorabilia and film locations in an effort to remain as true and as faithful as possible to the Star Wars franchise. The game itself is slated to release around the same time as the movie.

Principal photography began for Star Wars: Episode VII on Tuesday, March 18. The film is slated to release in theatres worldwide on December 18, 2015 .
