The Evil Within , the latest horror game by Shinji Mikami, father of Resident Evil , is going to come to PC. The game has gone gold and publisher Bethesda has revealed the specs needed to play it. As is the case with most games these days, they are higher than expected, but we are on the cusp of a new generation after all.
- 64-bit Windows 7/Windows 8
- i7 with four-plus cores
- 4 GB RAM
- 50 GB of hard drive space (50 GB needed for install, but game will actually only take up around 41 GB of hard drive space, Bethesda says)
- GeForce GTX 670 or equivalent with 4 GB of VRAM
- High-speed internet connection
- Steam account
Bethesda also revealed how big the game will be on other consoles as well. The Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game will both need 40GB installs, while the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will only need about 7GB. It’s very clear that the PC version was modeled after the next-gen version of the game.
