Ex-Head of Nintendo Indie Devs to Help Axiom Verge Development

As revealed on Tuesday, September 29, the former head of Nintendo’s independent developers, Dan Adelman, has announced that he’ll be helping to develop a PlayStation console-exclusive title that is described as a Metroid / Castlevenia -style action-platformer.

Entitled “ Axiom Verge ”, the game itself has actually been in development for the past five years, with its developer, Tom Happ, a Petroglyph Games employee, having worked on the project in his spare time, until he was recently able to work on the title full-time. Adelman will be providing Hap help with the business-related and marketing side of things.

Whilst Axiom Verge will be released for Sony’s PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, a Steam version of the game is also in the works, according to Develop .

I’ve known Nick Suttner, Adam Boyes, Brian Silva and many of the other Sony folks for a few years now, and I’m really excited to be working directly with them, ” Adelman wrote in his blog post on the matter. ” Although I will always have a special place in my heart for Nintendo, this game is solely focused on PlayStation.
