As detailed in a press release published on Tuesday, September 29, free-to-play publisher Aeria Games has announced that it’ll be launching the standalone multiplayer component of F.E.A.R. , F.E.A.R. Online , on Valve’s Steam client later on next month.
Additionally, the game’s Open Beta will also go live a week prior to its release via Aeria Games’ official website.
Thanks to player feedback from the game’s Closed Beta (which was announced back in May ), extensive gameplay redesigns and adjustments–along with new maps, a new scenario, and a redesigned crafting system–have helped make F.E.A.R. Online into what has been touted as a truly unique first-person shooter.

Online to millions of PC gamers with the launch on the Steam platform, ” Aeria Games’ CEO Dr. Pascal Zuta said in the press release. ” Taking player feedback to heart, our team has redesigned elements of the game that are most important to players to deliver an experience that we hope will please the vast and dedicated fan base of the F.E.A.R. series. ”
F.E.A.R. Online will be available via Steam on Friday, October 17, with it’s Open Beta going live a week before on Wednesday, October 8.
